Belgium has discovered 2 cases in wild boar. 벨기엘에서 2건의 야생 멧돼지로 부터 돼지 열병이 감염된 것이 확정되었다 Europe’s African swine fever crisis dramatically escalated on Thursday when Belgium confirmed the disease had spread to the west of the EU. 벨기엘 정부는 어제인 목요일 돼지 열병을 확인하였고 이로 인하여 서유럽에서의 돼지 열병이 빠르게 확산되고 있음에 우려를 표명하였다 The arrival of African swine fever in Western Europe has long been the worst fear for many in the pork industry, in part because it could mean import bans from key non-EU markets. 서유럽에 돼지 열병의 도착은 많은 서유럽국가들로부터 두려움의 대상이 된다. 이는 주요 국가들로부터 돼지 수입이 금지 되고있기 때문인다 Belgium’s food safety agency AFSCA said it had identified two boars carrying the disease around the southern village of Étalle. Neighboring France immediately warned of the high economic stakes of the Belgian outbreak and called on regional officials to ramp up controls to stop the disease spreading across the border. 벨기엘 식품안정청은 2건의 돼지열병은 이텔라 남쪽 지역으로부터 옮겨 왔다고 이야기하고 있다. 이 지역은 프랑스와 인접한곳으로 프랑스 정부는 즉각 이 경계지역을 더이상 돼지열병이 국경을 넘어오지 못하도록 통제하도록 하고 있다. When it was discovered at Europe’s second-largest farm in Romania in late August, authorities culled about 140,000 pigs. 치료약은 없다. 지난 8월 유럽에서 2번째로 큰 농장을 지닌 루마니아에서 이 질병이 발견되었을 때 140000마리의 돼지들이 감염되었다고 추려냈다. Germany has gone to extraordinary measures to keep the disease at bay, dispatching experts to help advise eastern countries on how best to stop the disease from spreading. 독일에서는 이 질병이 접근되는 것을 막기위해 특별한 방법으로 자국의 안전을 지켜왔고 이 방법이 돼지열병을 퍼져나가는 것을 막기위한 최선의 방법이라는것을 동류럽에 충고를 해왔다.

Europe’s African swine fever crisis dramatically escalated on Thursday when Belgium confirmed the disease had spread to the west of the EU.

벨기엘 정부는 어제인 목요일 돼지 열병을 확인하였고 이로 인하여 서유럽에서의 돼지 열병이 빠르게 확산되고 있음에 우려를 표명하였다

The arrival of African swine fever in Western Europe has long been the worst fear for many in the pork industry, in part because it could mean import bans from key non-EU markets.

Increasing numbers of cases have sparked concern in the EU since 2014 but the fever was confined to eastern countries, without any cases in Germany, the EU’s top pork producer.

2014년 이래도 EU에서는 돼지 열병이 증가되고 있음을 인지하고 있었지만 독일을 제외하고 이는 동유럽쪽으로만 국한하고 있었다.

The Belgian authorities said they were working at various levels of government to prevent the possible spread to pig farms. Humans are not susceptible to the disease.

벨기엘 당국은 돼지 농장으로 퍼져나가는 것을 막기위한 다양한 방법으로 일을 해왔다고 이야기 하고 있고 이 질병은 인간에게는 전염되지 않는다.
